One of the greatest strengths of Spawns of the Mindrender in terms of exploration and adventure is the sheer variety of sandbox locations across the frozen and madness-plagued land of Vordan. These are interconnected locations filled with factions, NPCs, secrets, and opportunities for emergent storytelling.



Here are just a few of the locations awaiting your players:

⚡ Thunderspan of the Giants — A colossal bridge from the Age of Giants stretching across a storm-wracked chasm, now claimed by a clutch of rust dragons that feed upon the bridge itself.

🌌 Star-Folded Sanctum —  An alien, tilting, impossible structure of warped angles and Farrealm geometry serving as the seat of the Unwrought Cabal and housing one of the few known portals to the Farrealm.

🛠️ Colossus Workshop — Master Arlen the Constructor’s immense arcane-industrial complex where the legendary Colossus may yet be assembled.

⛰️ Summit of the Last Ascent — A vast iron giant cemetery carved into frozen mountain plateaus, littered with mausoleums, relics, ancient secrets, and slumbering threats best left undisturbed.

☣️ Rot Pit — A festering chasm where worshippers of diseased death gather to celerbate and usher in their unavoidable demise.

🕯️ Monastery of the Pure — A labyrinthine monastery where initiates of the god of Competence undergo trials of endurance and perfection in pursuit of transcendence.

🌑 Nightglacier — A colossal glacier on the border of the Shadowrealm, home to the darkness-worshipping Shadowfrost Giants whose frozen halls drift halfway between worlds.

And these are only a handful of the locations scattered across Vordan, alongside a focus on Windrip City.

Every location is designed to support sandbox exploration, discovery, survival, and memorable encounters — whether your players seek lost giant ruins, aberrant horrors, ancient secrets, political intrigue, or impossible mysteries at the edge of reality itself.

Rising atop towering basalt columns above the frozen chasms, Windrip City is the only major city in Vordan and the mighty seat of Clan Doomhammer. Massive wind turbines drive an enormous network of gears and machinery throughout the city, powering elevators, cabin lifts, and forgeworks.  Windrip City is currently being developed as a smaller sandbox setting featuring dozens of unique locations, including taverns, feast halls, workshops, fighting pits, lift stations, and more.

The ⚜️ Spawns of the Mindrender Legend Box lets you leave your permanent mark on the city and become immortalized in the adventure!

Backers at this level receive a full-body illustration of their custom NPC along with a bespoke location in Windrip City created from their specifications, along with all exclusive accessories the campaign has to offer.

The 🎁 Spawns of the Mindrender Physical Bundle now includes the Spawns Sandbox Poster Maps, with the maps of Vordan, Windrip City, and all additional maps unlocked through Achievements. This pledge level also comes with the Vordan Scratch-Off Map, which features a general terrain view of Vordan on the surface and a full-color map beneath, complete with illustrated location icons uncovered as your characters explore and map the realm. Both are also available as add-ons.
